MyRX4U Tips For Seasonal Allergies (Image of a woman sneezing) Spring savings on allergy medications with MyRX4U! (Image of microscopic pollen particles) Survive Allergy Season with MyRX4U Tips and Discounts! Spring is officially here and that means so is the pollen. While the natural landscape around us becomes lusher and greener every day this can also cause significant allergies for many people. Allergy reactions include symptoms in your sinuses, lungs, throat, or skin. You may also experience fatigue and headaches. Those with asthma can have an even more difficult time during this season, but there are measures you can take to make the burgeoning springtime more manageable. Allergy Season Tips! Tip #1 Monitor Pollen Counts. This information is available through the local weather report, and it will tell you the pollen counts and air quality index in your area. It can help you plan for an attack of allergy symptoms. Tip #2 Garden and lawn maintenance. Consider working in the yard during morning or evening hours when pollen counts are lowest. Fresh-cut grass and fertilizers can worsen symptoms so consider wearing a particle mask (available in hardware stores) to prevent breathing in tiny aggravation particles. Also, after working outdoors, grab a shower to remove any lingering particles as quickly as possible. (Image of a person pouring tablets in their hand.) Tip #3 Use over-the-counter remedies. Try OTC decongestants and antihistamines. Decongestants relieve congestion in your nose and sinuses while antihistamines relieve allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, coughing, or itching. Saline rinses are a natural alternative that helps to clear pollen nasal passages and can be done using either nasal sprays or a neti pot. (Image of a doctor and patient sitting on a couch.) Tip #4 Use prescribed medications. Always make sure to use your prescribed medications from your doctor that prevent or control your symptoms. If you have asthma, always remember to keep any quick-relief medications nearby in case of a flare-up. Obviously, limiting exposure to triggers can be helpful, but it is incredibly hard to eliminate contact with everything that causes allergy and asthma symptoms. These tips can help you manage the often-inevitable sneezes and sniffles many of us experience. Happy spring!
